Responding to record COVID infection rates

The Omicron variant has changed the game.  We offer a fast, efficient solution to keeping your student body and staff safe.

Both insured and uninsured qualify for $0 direct cost testing

We can test ~50 people per hour per testing station.  No special medical training required, all samples are self collected.

The Best
TEST
For Your School

Why this Covid test is better and safer for our school?

The vast majority of traditional PCR based tests are “pooled together” and not run individually.  In this process, portions of multiple samples collected are merged together. Then the “pool” is tested.  If there is a positive result of that pool, then the samples are individually retested to determine which test in the pool was positive.  With pooling, the concentration of the virus in the sample is diluted and this reduces the ability of the test to accurately detect the virus.

Individual processed samples- never pooled

The advantage of individual processed PCR testing, is better accuracy and sensitivity.  Reducing false positives and false negative results.

The FDA’s warnings on pooling samples.

“because samples are diluted, which could result in less viral genetic material available to detect, there is a greater likelihood of false negative results”.   QRMDs tests are individually digitally sequenced not pooled.

The FDA’s warning on viral mutations of the Covid 19 virus and PCR test accuracy.

Viral mutations of the Covid 19 virus are already are not accurately detected on some PCR based older technology platforms.  “Laboratories should expect some false results to occur even when very accurate SARS-CoV-2 tests are used. The prevalence of genetic variants may vary in any population and may lead to more false negative results than otherwise expected”  “Genetic variants of SARS-CoV-2 arise regularly and false negative test results can occur”.  The ability of digital sequencing to detect the virus is not diminished with mutations of the original viral strain. In fact, digital sequencing is what the CDC and health departments use to detect variants.

PCR Tests, the “gold standard” are not all the same.

PCR tests are considered the “Gold Standard” in Covid 19 testing.  However, not all of them are the same or as effective.  Most PCR based tests run on 30-year-old technologies that rely on “light emissions” vs. a control sample to identify a positive Covid test.   The QRMDs test is individually processed for best in class accuracy.
